FLASHCS5 will export Iphone apps

IphoneNoFlashiphoneFlash

This is all over the web today, but its great news, which may affect my job future quite a bit so I may blog about it too:

ADOBE announced at MAX that the upcoming Flash CS5 will be able to export  native iPhone apps. So in a way Flash Developers like me could in near future leverage their flash applications and games as iphone apps, and sell them through the Itunes Store.

It also was announced that still there will be no Iphone Flash plug any soon, as Apple is not-ready. ( Apple refuses any cooperation with ADOBE for flash on Iphone) more about on WIRED : http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2008/11/adobe-flash-on/

As flash is advance compiled to native iphone code, this approach may habe even some benefits, regarding performance and all that.

Apparently, there are already such apps on sale in the appstore, which were developed with a beta of flash CS5.

Anyway the future is exciting!
