Yoko d’Holbachie’s surreal alien creature art

Yoko d’Holbachie home page and gallery

Just discovered that japanese artist Yoko d’Holbachie, one of my favourite psychedelic illustrators I now and love from way back in 98 is still active.
She still does art, and better than ever before and just has a exhibition from 19-30th in London.
Enjoy her surreal alien trippy creatures..and their colorful worlds.
And it seems her homepage web is still more or less the same design from 1998 and does not look teriblly outdated today..which really speaks for her design.
I wish the backdrops artists at psytrance partys would learn a thing or tow from this.

Hudson Mohawke – Butterstar Galactica game

Purple funk synths & bass maestro Hudson Mohawke has released hios new album on warp ( which I still have to get yet), and now released this
funny and great viral flash game Butterstar Galactica to promote it.
Fly your butter ship through 3 psychedelic levels to unloc free mp3 downloads and finally reach the “Mother butter”.
Its trippy fun..just try it. I did it in11,29 min.

Overall I must say I really like the visual artwork and direction for the Hudson Mohawke, as wellas other purple wow / wonky / aquacrunk heroes like Joker , Flying Lotus, Zomby and all and I really love the music. Sadly only very few DJs play this stuff, and I really want to hear it on a big loud sound system.

Vj mix in Second Life

Thanks to Retinafunk crew member Astrid a.k.a. VJ Inmotion. I have comeacross this video, which shows a virtual VJ visuals performance in Second Life.
As you can see VJing in SL and Second Life in General has come a long way from the humble begining a few years ago.
It virtual worlds one is not limited by the usual financial, technical limits, or laws of nature like gravity or outdoor conditions, and this allows for trully impressive setups.
A pile of giant TVs as screens, floor or moving screeen.. only your imagination is the limit.

Dubstep mix of the week by Beat Pharmacy

Nothing like a good dubstep mix to start a work day in agency.
Loving this mix by Beat Pharmacy, deep and intense, with great tracks by bass heroes like Burial,Martyn,Pangaea
And I really start to love Soundcloud, and their player and esp timed comments feature.
