Yesterday I went to see Moderat live gig at Gloria in Cologne.
This concert was a part of the c/o pop Festival which is going on till Sunday 16.8.
Moderat is electronic “super group” formed from the well known Berlin artists Modeselektor and Apparat,
with visuals and videos by Germany Nr 1 VJs Pfadfinderei.
I really enjoyed this liveset, and can say it wasprobabyl the best electronic live act I have experienced since ages.
Definetly not your standard average boring laptop live act !
Moderts music osciallted between downtempo IDM , rock and rave,
with dubstep, dancehall and minimal techno influences and live vocalsby Apparats Sascha, as well as some recorded vacals by Reggae artist Tiiman.
Its just great music and the syncronized custom visuals by Pfadfinderei greatly enhanced the music.
The crowd was up for it and the band gave everything , 2 encores until they hadno more tracks left.

On another note I am glad to have met Waddada , one of my favs bass music/dub/dubstep Djs and producer from Cologne, which is also a very nice and freindly person by the way.
He mentioned that the Luxor Club in Cologne is relauched and there will be some intereseting bass music events there soon. I will keep you informed.
Before the gig I was very hungry, and was lucky to find some great japanese food at the nearby bento Box japanese restaurant.
I had Yaatori , which were delicious and some sushi which was also quite good. I can recoomend this place.
