As Dubstep is one of my favourite music style lately I am very happy to find out that local Dubstep Here Orson, is doing another event this December in Salon des Amateurs , one of Düsseldorfs finest clubs and my favourite location ..this time featuring Benni ILL from UK, after SKREAM and DIGITAL MYSTIKZ mashed up the place.
I highly recommend this event , and everyone who was at the last Dubstep Partys in Salon des Amateurs

The talented flash developers at BLITZ in L.A. created a great interactive video wall installation for ADOBE events.
The project , which allows uers to “paint” 3D particles and strokes on a transparent projection wall using 2 nintendo Wii controllers,
is a flash application in HD resolution. It uses flash actionscript and the groundbreaking Papervision3D engine.
The results are posted to flickr:

A new tiny japanese Head-Mounted Display might come out in 2008 fro the consumer market.
if this really hits the market next year it could be a big success.
This Head-Mounted Display from Japan might be the ultimate preview monitor for VJs,as well as great for lots of other uses, like watching movies with your mobile video player or ipod.

Some konow I am a big friend of mindmapping, and use it daily for brainstorms, list, project planning and more with tools like Mindmanager, and Freemind. I looked for a while for online apps, with let me do mindmapping online.
Just found this promissing WEB2.0 online application, still in private beta : mindmeister.com
I received my beta account today and already love it. Still think that flash and flex might be better for this than DHTML and javascript but I must say the team at mindmeister did a good job using javascript.
Check out www.mindmeister.com and aplly for a beta account.
Ninetendo Mobile Consoles used for Vj purposes
0 Comments Published November 21st, 2006 in Uncategorized, VJ hardware, VJ software, VJ tools, interfaceAfter we have heard of remote control VJ applications like Resolume with PocketPCs,
here an interesting take on mobile VJ remote control.
This crew is developing a project where the Ninetendo DS is used as VJ remote for VVVV patches. VVVV is a modula VJ tool I still have to check out properly.
Read more here:

While we are at Ninetendo and VJing, plase check out this project too:
http://gbadev.org/demos.php?showinfo=1318
This guy called pikilipita is using a Ninetendo Gameboy Advance and custom software for VJing, and in this case the VJ content is generated by the gameboy advance too.
Mobile Vjing is definely coming on slowly. REtinafunk crew really looks forward to
the day where we can remote control out set from the dancefloor using some similar solution.Yeah ..no more hiding behind the VJ PCs.
